While a writer/creative director in NYC, I used to swim in the local open water races, including the first Brooklyn Bridge swim. Now I freelance in Baltimore and there are few such races. Don't even think of swimming in Baltimore harbor. And, after July 4 or so, the Chespaeake gets these stingy little jellyfish. So I'm enrolling in this year's Brooklyn Bridge event.
