Although endurance swimming didn't enter my life until I was a mother of two, it has been a most enjoyable activity for many years. My first and longest open-water event was a 5 mile swim across Great South Bay. Since 2002, I have joined the 3-mile Hudson River Swim for Life every year. My times have ranged from 01:28:00 to 02:26:00 depending on conditions. I also complete the 4-mile Swim Across America in Long Island Sound, with times ranging from 01:13:00 t0 2:00:28.
