About Petar
Bulgaria’s Petar Stoychev has been dominant in distance swimming, winning the overall Grand Prix circuit eight times. He represented Bulgaria at the 2008 Olympics in the 1500M freestyle, the 10K, and as flag bearer. His extraordinary career includes the 57K Maraton Acuatica Rio Coronda, 30K Ohrid Lake Swim Marathon, and 34K Traversée Internationale du Lac Memphrémagog. If that wasn’t enough, he also holds the record for the fastest English Channel swim, set in 2007 at just under 7 hours. No one has swum farther than Petar in world-class races this year, and he’s got the hardware to prove it.
