Bob Nelson is an experienced triathlete and open-water swimmer, who counts the following among the events he has completed: Greenwich Open Two Mile, Point Pleasant Beach Mile, Candlewood Lake Swim (5.5 mi.), Tupper Lake Tinman (half-ironman), Mooseman (half-ironman), Montauk Mightyman (half-ironman), and the Hudson Valley Half-Ironman. Partly as a result of the many sports injuries he has suffered over the years, Bob went back to school to become a physical therapist and graduated from Columbia's P.T. program in 2003. He has worked for Australian Physiotherapy at the Asphalt Green location (2003-2004), Joint Effort Physical Therapy on West 71st St. (2004-2006) and currently is at H&D Physical Therapy at 17 East 82nd St., where he specializes in sports injuries.
