I really love Open Water Ocean Swimming, no chlorine, no turns and no warm water ! I have enjoied Ocean Swims at the Jersey Shore since 2002. My first 2007 swim was Sunday May 20 at Manasquan, N.J. Followed by 19 more ! ( Others are in my Photo Gallery )
2007 is the first year I have enjoyed Open Water Swims with NYC Swim. Swimming in New York Harbor and Rivers around Manhatten with the Spectacular Views. Surprising me with the Great Water Quality. Meeting new Swimmers and Staff. Even working as an Event Volunteer,I hope to continue enjoing more of the same!!!

| TEAM AWARDS PHOTO.... Nine months of thinking, training, and many questions.... All summed up in one Team Awards Photo!!!! For this team of young swimmers what a very satisfying feeling having successfully completed swimming 28.5 miles around manhattan island.... Enjoying every minute of our swim!!!! It was an honor to meet and swim with this years field of so many accomplished Open Water Marathon Swimmers. Our memories from swimmer introductions, stories told and gifts exchanged from other countries and states shows how the open water swim community is like a second family. Our competition is decided by mother nature.... The challenge never the same.. The satisfying reward of completion can not be expressed in words, only felt from deep within!!!! We would like to thank ALL those who contributed to making this event possible, successful and rewarding for us!!!! |

| This years LRL Swim was a Fun Swim ! ! The conditions in the Hudson were very similar to this years MIMS finishing leg, flat, fast, and no chop in the Smiley face of this Happy Finisher! |
