About Kerri
Kerri has been swimming for much of her life. Having grown up on Long Island, Kerri swam for Long Beach Aquatics for many years and when her family moved to PA, she swam for the Bethlehem Aquatic Club. During high school, Kerri qualified for the PA state meet in the 500 hundred freestyle for 3 years in a row, and her school record in the 500 still stands today.
It was during high school that Kerri started running and eventually began competing for her school's cross country, swimming, and track teams, where she was a first team All-Star in all three.
Kerri was awarded a 3 sport scholarship to Rider University. However, after 2 years, she decided to retire. Kerri got back in the water in 2003 to train for the Alcatraz race, where she finished 4 out of 5 in her age group. She is looking forward to many more open water swims.
Kerri teaches high school English in Bucks County, PA and currently lives right outside of Philadelphia.
