| This is the annual Mossman Saugatuck river swim. This year it was cold and wet on the day of the race, AND it was a cool summer. It made for cold water. Conditions dictated the 3.5 swim be reduced to 2.75 mi. I swam with a wetsuit for the first time (a scuba suit, not a race suit). That made for a slow swim. Water temp was 52. I couldn't feel my feet after the race! |

| Out in the open water between the Golden Gate bridge and Aquatic Park, San Fran, CA. 3 miles total distance. Water was 62 and choppy. I wore a wetsuit top. We were greeted by porpoise and sea lions when we jumped from the boat under the Golden Gate. |
