MERCHANTS RIVER HOUSE, 375 South End Avenue
The informal post-event party, which is complimentary for all participants and volunteers, will take place at Merchants River House, 375 South End Avenue, which is located on the Esplanade between South and North Coves, in Battery Park City, a short walk from the Start/Finish point. You may purchase tickets for guests here.
EVENT PARKING
Gateway Plaza Parking, at 345 South End Avenue (near the start/finish of the race) has generously offered us a special Manhattan Island Relays event rate of $20 for cars and $25 for SUVs for up to 24 hours, August 4-5. To get this special rate, please download the parking voucher and redeem it with the parking attendant when you pick up your car after the event.

NORTH COVE MARINA, Liberty Street and South End Avenue, Manhattan

7:00 am Kayaker Check-in begins
7:50 am Kayak briefing
8:05 am Kayakers enter water
8:45 am Kayaks and boats in position between North and South Coves for Swim Start
9:00 am Close down North Cove
9:05 am Swim Start at South Cove Marina

1:00 pm Paddler rest stop opens
2:15 pm Break down Paddler Rest Area - after last Paddler comes through
Car Toppers who plan to put in at North Cove Marina: If you are car topping to North Cove, you may drive up to the turnaround at Liberty Street and South End Avenue, unload your kayak (there will be volunteers at North Cove to assist you) and then return to park your car in a nearby garage. At the end of the event, volunteers will be at North Cove to assist you in transporting your kayak back up to Liberty Street and South End Avenue. Once there, you may load your kayak back onto your car.

BOAT OBSERVER LOGS: All boat observers will complete two logs simultaneously during this event, one denoting
locations
and one specific to the relay swim times and transitions, either 4-person
or 6-person. (All relays are competing in the Traditional category rather than the Catch'em category.) We will also have some extra logs available at check-in.

PIER 40 (Hudson River Park at West Houston Street)
3:00-6:00 pm Bag stuffing/Truck loading
Directions to Pier 40:
By Subway: Take the 1 train to Houston/Varick Street. Walk west to West Street (approximately four blocks) and cross over to Hudson River Park Pier 40 is the large structure directly in front of you as you approach. Take A, B, C, D, E, F or V train to West 4th Street; walk west to Hudson River Park and south to Pier 40.
By Bus: Take the M8 to West Street, cross over to Hudson River Park and walk south to Pier 40. Take the M21 to Washington/Houston Street; walk west to West Street and cross over to Hudson River Park Pier 40 is the large structure directly in front of you as you approach.
As you approach Pier 40 at the West Street/Houston Street intersection, you will see a guard booth directly in front of you. Adjacent to the guard booth is a walkway that leads to the soccer field. We are in the back near the picnic tables, in front of the soccer field.
