Governors Island Swim

Spend the Friday before Labor Day jumping off a ferry boat and circling a piece of Manhattan at this challenging 2-Miler around the birthplace of New York City, with great views of Lower Manhattan, Jersey City, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and, of course, Governors Island itself. The island will be open to the public during the event, meaning there will be more fans than ever cheering you on at the fifth annual Governors Island Swim.

After the race, all swimmers and their friends are invited to join the NYC Swim events staff at Water Taxi Beach on Governors Island for an informal, pay as you go gathering.
