Based on feedback from many of our swimmers who are looking to take their next step in open water swimming, we have developed a new 2-Mile course for this event, starting at the new West 125th Street Pier. Timed for a tidal assist, the swim should take about 5 to 10 minutes more than past years' 1-mile course with more great views of both Manhattan and the Palisades. It's an excellent opportunity to preview a portion of the Little Red Lighthouse Swim course. After the event, all racers, volunteers, and their friends are invited to join the NYC Swim staff at Coogan's Restaurant (Broadway at 169th Street) for an informal pay-as-you-go party.
