Governors Island Swim

Circumnavigate historic Governors Island in the third annual Governors Island Swim on Friday, June 29, 2007. This challenging 2 Mile course with great water-level views of lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and the three bridges, is not to be missed. Due to space limitations on the ferry and on Governors Island, the swim is limited only to event participants (swimmers and volunteers). Family members and friends are encouraged to volunteer.

After the race, all swimmers and their friends are invited to join the NYC Swim staff at Adrienne’s Pizza Bar, 54 Stone Street. Adrienne’s, has become hot spot in a cool area of town, is a five minute walk from the Battery Maritime Building (GI Ferry Terminal). NYC Swim has reserved a couple tables for this informal social gathering (no showers required). All attendees are responsible for paying for their own food and drinks.
