Welcome to the Governors Island Swim.


Circumnavigate historic Governors Island in the second annual Governors Island Swim. This extremely challenging 2 Mile course with great views of lower Manhattan is not to be missed. Plus, the water-level views of Governors Island, Manhattan, Jersey City, Staten Island and Brooklyn are amazing.

Due to space limitations on the ferry and on Governors Island, the swim is limited only to event participants (swimmers and volunteers). Family members and friends are encouraged to volunteer.

The US Parks Service, for a nominal fee, will provide a tour of the Island after the event.
