By Car: Please use mass transit to get to and from the race start.
By Subway: Take the (R, N) to Rector Street or take the (4,5) to Bowling Green. Walk due west. Cross West Street into Battery Park City. Continue walk west to the promenade along Hudson River and head to north to the North Cove Yacht Harbor.
By Bus: Take the M9, M10, or M22 to Battery Park City. Follow On Foot directions below.
On Foot: NCYH is downtown in Battery Park City outside of the World Financial Center’s Winter Garden. NCYH is on South End Avenue between Two World Financial Center and the Hudson River. Check In is adjacent to Pumpkin Park and NYC Police Memorial.
Ferry: Direct from the Lackawanna Terminal to the World Financial Center or Pier A. Information: (908) GO-FERRY.

| Experience Requirement: | To participate as an Experienced Swimmer, you will need to have completed a 1500 meter (1 Mile) swim or longer in OPEN WATER at a pace of 50 minutes per mile or under in the last three years to qualify. You will be required to also fax copy of results to 212-784-6850, thank you.
A Non-Experienced Swimmer will have to complete a continuous 2 mile POOL SWIM in 1 hour and 30 miuntes or better. Must fax copy of verification letter to 212-784-6850, on Pool/Club letterhead stating date, time completed, witnessing lifeguard's name and phone #. |
| Predicted Water Conditions: | Approximately 78 degrees. There can be a substantial amount of chop in the water from wind and tide action. The waterways are saltwater and there is shipping traffic. There may be random jetsam and flotsam in the waterways. |
