Take the 1/9 to Christopher Street or the A,C,E F, V to West 4th Street and walk west to the West Street. Cross the street and follow "On Foot/By Bike" directions below.

Pier 45 is at the Hudson River Greenway and Christopher Street. You may cross West Street at Christopher Street to get there if you are not already on the greenway.

Drive south on West Street and turn right onto Vesey Street. Enter the World Financial Center through the Courtyard entrance and follow signs to the marina/harbor. (Due to limited parking, we suggest that you use mass transit to get to and from North Cove.)

Take the N, R to Rector Street or the 4, 5 to Bowling Green. Walk due west. Cross West Street into Battery Park City. Continue to walk west to the Promenade along the Hudson River and head north to North Cove Yacht Harbor.
By Bus:
Take the M9, M10, or M22 to Battery Park City.
On Foot:
North Cove Yacht Harbor is downtown, in Battery Park City, adjacent to the World Financial Center's Winter Garden.
By Ferry:

You may register for a NYC Swim event even if you have not completed a qualifying swim, and your enrollment will be approved upon verification of your qualifying swim details. Pool certification in a manner consistent with the sample template, which can be accessed on your user profile swimmer page, documenting the completion of a continuous 1-mile pool swim (1650 yards/1500 meters) in 45 minutes or better since January 1, 2009. Swim must take place in a traditional swimming pool; "Endless Pool" swims are not acceptable for qualification purposes. [How to upload pool certification]
All pool certifications and qualifying swim information must be received by NYC Swim at least 14 days prior to the date of the race (no later than May 9, 2009). Swimmers who enroll after May 9th must submit their qualification information to NYC Swim within 24 hours of enrollment. Participants' qualifications will not be accepted, reviewed or approved on race day. | | Predicted Water Conditions: | Approximately 55 to 60 degrees. Wetsuits/non-traditional swim attire may be worn but may affect a swimmer's eligibility for awards. The full wetsuit policy can be viewed here.
There can be a substantial amount of chop in the water from wind & tide action. The waterways are salt-water and there is shipping traffic. There may be random jetsam & flotsam in the waterways.
